On the track I have had: Yamaha FZ-600 FZR-400 Yamaha TZR-250 Suzuki GSXR-1100 And just roade a Yamaha R-6 for the first time in a race and had a lot of fun
Currently I am building a 600CC race bike based off an FZR-400 Frame with a YZF-600 Engine and an R-1 Front end.
I have lots of modifications on the bike and it is a total custom build with many parts from other bikes like my radiator is from a 636 Kawasaki. A bit of a bastard really ha ha

Hi all, my name is fred, native from Montreal and now based in Shanghai. Was mainly into motocross back home and a serious taker for regional & national competitions. Also owned a street CBR600F3 at the time ('95) and a race modified ZX6 which I both took to the Montreal F1 circuit a few time. I currently own a CBR1000RR '05 in Shanghai (since July 08) which I gave up ‘street’ ridding with... came close to death more times than I took the bike out for a ride I believe. Don't get me wrong, people here are very experienced drivers, but sadly not when it come to sharing the roads with bikes haha. For that particular reason, I went back 100% to motorsport and now racing at the Tianma circuit.
Hope to meet any of you guys, come along on a track day in Tianma! I am a big fan of "BG Performance (http://www.bg-performance.com)" there who has excellent bikes (almost new) for rent (ZX-6, R6s, Honda 150cc. etc) and they even have all the leathers and gears that fits any sizes. To top it all, you can have racing lessons from a professional on site - speak to Kareem as I recommend you to book in advance (this sport is only getting more popular).
See you guys around I hope!
Fred

Hello, My name is Michael. BG's new Chief Technician. I wrote an introductory thread so I won't go into details about myself here. Just thought I'd post a pretty picture of my 2001 Honda XR650R custom supermoto that's back in my sister's garage in Florida. Such a blast riding through the twisties! ;D www.bg-performance.com/2006/performance/img/08090705.jpgMy first bike was a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja 500. I have a pic of that one, too but I guess you can only post one pic on this board. Anyway, wrecked that one on the Bay Bridge in San Fran on my way to work one morning. Not a fun experience. Second bike was a 1976 Kawasaki KZ400. Got it when I was in school, did a complete top-end rebuild in the back of a van because it was raining outside, turned the handlebars down so it looked like a cafe racer and rode it around Orlando and Miami for 2 years. Good times! And, my dream bike is a 2002 black/blue Suzuki Hayabusa. Curves like Salma Hayek! Hopefully, I'll get to do some riding again here in China. Anybody got a Busa they'll let me borrow?!

Kareem, I admit it looks like an advert for BG, sorry about that. Too good to be untold I guess!
Mike, all best of luck for your upcoming races! will keep an eye open for the busa. I'm after an RC212V (07/08) - I want this orange cutie fitted with a PC3 and full GP exhaust. If you hear.....

Hi ya everyone, I'm Philipe from Hong Kong (but grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and Seattle, Washington since I was 2). Been back to HK for 6 years coming and is a baseball instructor. My 1st bike was the 1999 Yamaha R6 in which is sitting in a garage for the past 6 years in Seattle. Put in over 20,000 miles on the bike from 99-02. My longest ride was up the East side of Mt. Rainer and Mt. Saint Helens from Seattle to Portland, OR. It was a wonderful 6 hour journey through the backside of Washington state with well over 200 turns and dips in which I will never forget. One awesome ride if anyone is wants to see two of the best peaks in the Great Northwest of the US. What I ride now in Hong Kong is a 2001 Honda CBR929RR (or in HK, the Fireblade). I also have a 1994 Vespa Cosa which is awesome to get around in traffic jams and gas efficient. I'll be looking forward to getting on the track in the upcoming Tianma Open in November. Hopefully I'll be decent enough to just finish the race..haha;). Will need plenty of pointers from Kareem... Cheerios, Philipe
