Great site, hope to find some more Beijingers here. I'm an Off-Road guy, did Enduro and MX races in Germany before I left in 2002. In Germany I had 2 and 4 stroke KTM's (250, 300, 520 cc) and Yam's (125 cc), also had a number of street bikes (Kawa ZZR600 and Yam RD250LC) and a few more. Still have a Harley XR1000 ('83) in Germany.
So far I don't have a bike here, as it is too difficult to register a bike legally here, I don't/didn't have enough time (self employed landscaper), Sidecas are scrap (sorry guys, my opinion), as they combine the disadvantages of cars and bikes. And traffic isn't fun here in Beijing, but further north in the mountains it's nice, and in the Inner Mongolia I found great off road locations Maybe a bit far from the next hospital, sometimes even from phone network, not ideal for real MX (with 41, family and own business it's different form being a single of 22 ;-).
So now that my son is almost 6 and I rented a little farm I want to buy a chinese 250 cc MX-bike for me and a small bike for my son. Have seen a number of chinese bikes in the internet recently, look accaptable from the photos. Have to have a closer look soon.
If he likes it(and my wife doesn't kill me), I may buy a KTM in HK and bring it over later in the year.

Hello from Downtown, Look forward to meeting other riders in the area and meeting up for weekend rides and longer trips over the holidays. Just completed 1800km thru Inner Mongolia to the Mongolian border over the May Day holiday. Tentatively planning a northeast beach ride for National Day. Beijing to Shenyang then down to Dadong on the North Korean border and down the coast to Dalian. Ferry back to Tianjin and ride back into Beijing. 5 or 6 days, no hurries, no worries.
